Here’s a little teaser of what to expect in the Sempiternal pictures.  This is the Watch Tower for Inferno that I created yesterday and have decided will not feature in the final piece because it doesn’t have as much impact as I desire.  The concept for this tower is it has been sculpted out of the hard rock in Hell and looks out over the Underworld.  I have now created a new tower that I feel has a stronger image but your’ll just have to wait till the exhibition to get to see it.

I have also added the two original pictures I started with to create the Watch Tower taken at Plymouth Hoe.  The end image is a rough mock up that I have not spent extra time tidying up and cleaning as this would take time out of creating the next batch of images.

After all this work here is my short film for my experimental project exhibited at Plymouth University from the 11-16 May. It follows a character through limbo and her progress to reach heaven traveling through different rooms with different scenes represented within them.

I am currently working on a Documentary project for one of my University modules which will feature some BMX pro’s and aspiring athletes talking about different topics related to BMX.  As I have some spare time during filming shoots I decided to create a logo to have at the beginning and end of the Documentary.  I decided to use the same style as the Peeping Bear Productions 2012 logo but make it different for the documentary.

This is a 1 minute rotoscope animation called ‘Break Out!’ that I had to create for my experimental animation project.  I wanted to experiment with rotoscoping in photoshop CS5 so I came up with the idea of having a character being overcome by the animation spreading from the necklace that he is wearing.  Originally the character was supposed to find the neckless lying in a rock pool but this would have extended the final piece beyond the given 1 minute.  Instead I decided to experiment with the concept that the animation is part of the characters imagination shown through the harsh shadows.  During the characters fight to break free of the animation there is no animation being shadowed behind him representing the idea that the fight is all in his imagination.

For my medi 236 module at Plymouth University my group had to read a text about Bruzzi and narration and how narration can ruin the viewers perception of what is being playing in the video.  We filmed some extreme sports at Prime skatepark and edited them to slow them down (we filmed at 60fps).  We then got bias narrator to narrate the video however they want but mainly hating on the sports.  He was then cut short half way through the video allowing the viewer to to view the footage with their own perception of what is going on and not what someone is telling them.

Finally this photograph is my favourite out of the new set because it has many different levels from the signs to the road to the buildings and finally to the sunset in the distant background.

Again like the other photograph I this is one of my favourites from my walk around Plymouth because of the contrast between the building and the sky but also the colours in this one.

This was one of my favourites that I took on my walk around Plymouth.  I like the way the lines and curves of the buildings int he right side of the photograph contrast with the clear sky on the left side.
